In the 36 games he played, averaging 3.5 points and 3.3 rebounds, Hunter played for the Celtics after being selected by them in the second round of the 2003 NBA Draft, 56th overall. In the 2004–05 season, his final one in the league, he appeared in 31 games for the Magic.
Hunter, a native of Cincinnati, performed abroad in Greece, Italy, Israel, and Turkey between 2006 and 2013.
Tom O’Shea, the men’s basketball coach for the Bobcats from 2001 to 2008, claimed that Hunter went on have a prosperous career as a sports agent.
